Alright, guys? So I’m sitting here this morning, rain’s tapping on the window, my coffee’s gone cold. And then… you know that feeling when you’re trying to just chill out from the daily grind, and something pulls you right back into work? Well, this is it. The topic: “Wednesday,” Season 2. You probably saw the first part, right? It was, like, an explosion! All those dances, those looks of hers… And me, being the guy who’s always in the know, I just kept thinking, when, oh when is it coming? And finally, I have all the info. And I mean the kind of info you won’t find on every corner of Wikipedia, because I, damn it, gathered it myself, bit by bit, like… I don’t know, like someone looking for a black cat in a dark room. Anyway, enough talk, let’s get into it.
Release Date and Format. When Can We Watch It?
Okay, okay, the most important question. Because, I know, you’ve probably been waiting for so long. It felt like an eternity, seriously. And here’s what I’ll tell you: Netflix decided to play with our nerves again. They could have just dropped the whole thing at once, right? No, they can’t just be normal about it. They need… intrigue.
So, the first season, as you remember, was just… one solid drop. But here, they decided to split the whole thing into two parts. Darn it!
- Part 1: Is already out! Yes, if you didn’t know yet, it dropped on August 6, 2025. It has four episodes. So, if you haven’t seen them yet, run and watch! Well, finish reading the article first, then run.
- Part 2: And for the second part, we’ll have to wait. It’s not coming out until September 3, 2025. Still, damn, two more weeks! What kind of torture is this? I already picked my spot on the couch, and then… a pause. So typical of Netflix, right?
So, the season will still have eight episodes, but they’re split. Well, what can you do? We’ll just have to wait. Although, you know, I’m already like that Hachiko dog… just sitting here and waiting.
Filming Locations. Why Did They Leave Romania?
Remember how cool the first season was? Those castles, those forests… Everything was filmed in Romania. Well, guess what? They left! I was honestly shocked. I thought Romania was, like, the perfect place for it. But no.
Season 2 was filmed in… Ireland. Can you believe it? And me, as a blogger always looking for something interesting, I immediately went to find out why. And it’s simple. According to the creators, Ireland has a “timeless beauty” and “epic scope” that they believe is perfect for the gloomy world of “Wednesday.” And, by the way, they were right. Those landscapes, those fogs, those castles… Damn, it’s just fire.
They filmed in different places: Counties Wicklow, Dublin, Offaly. There are also real castles and lakes there, by the way. It’s… it’s not just a set, it’s a real location, and you can see it. They really added depth to the series, and I think that’s awesome. So there’s that…
Cast and New Faces. Who’s Back and Who’s Out?
Oh, this is the most interesting part. I mean, without the actors, what kind of “Wednesday” would it be, right? Of course, our beloved Jenna Ortega isn’t going anywhere. She’s as perfect as ever. That look of hers, that… well, you know. But there are some changes.
First of all, the Addams family. It’s, damn it, a whole clan! And I have a feeling they’re going to reveal even more of their skeletons in the closet. Catherine Zeta-Jones (Morticia) and Luis Guzmán (Gomez) are no longer just guests, but full-fledged characters! Can you imagine? This is going to be epic! And also Isaac Ordonez (Pugsley).
But that’s not all. There are new faces too. And here, damn, it’s an explosion! Get ready…
- Lady Gaga! Yep, you won’t be surprised if she sings something gothic. She’ll play a teacher named Rosalyn Rothwood. Something tells me this is going to be super unexpected.
- Steve Buscemi — the new Nevermore principal, Barry Dort. From what I’ve heard, he’s the complete opposite of the last principal. This is going to be either hilarious or really, really scary.
- Joanna Lumley — she’ll play Grandma Addams! Oh, there’s probably going to be a huge meltdown there!
- And many other cool actors. Even Christopher Lloyd, the same Uncle Fester from the 90s movies, is returning, but in a different role. This is just wow!
Oh, and by the way, Percy Hynes White (Xavier) is not returning. That’s, you know, a… well, it’s a bit of bad news for the fans.
Plotlines. What Will Season 2 Be About?
Listen, I went through so much to find at least some clues… And here’s what I can tell you. The season is going to be much darker. So, if the first one was… well, a bit of a comedy, a bit of a detective story, this one is going to be straight-up horror. Well, almost.
Wednesday’s psychic abilities will get worse, and it seems this will be related to some new threat. And also…
- A new main villain: I won’t spoil it, of course, but it will be someone from the past.
- A new mystery: Wednesday will investigate the disappearance of some students and patients who went missing. It seems to be related to the “Willow Hill” hospital.
- Relationship with Enid: Our favorite duo. Enid now also has powers, and she, you know… she’s going to use them.
In short, there will be a lot of intrigue. Her aunt, Ophelia, whom we heard about in the first season… they’ll probably show her too. And there will be a lot more with the Addams family. This is no longer just a story about Wednesday, it’s about the whole clan! And I think that’s the right way to go. Because the Addamses are love!
My Two Cents…
Well, what can I say. It’s going to be great. I’m honestly on the edge of my seat. This isn’t just a TV show. It’s a whole phenomenon that brought gothic aesthetics back to the masses. I’ve already seen kids on the street dressing like Wednesday, doing her hairstyles… it’s, damn it, a whole culture! And me, as a blogger who’s always looking for this stuff, I just can’t help but be excited.
Yeah, waiting for the second part is a pain, but on the other hand, there’s time to think about everything, rewatch the first episodes… Think about it. It’s like… imagining you’re standing in front of the Nevermore gates, and they’ll only open in two weeks. Just like that.
If you liked this article, share it with your friends! Otherwise, how will they know what’s up with “Wednesday”?
